When war becomes an alternative to peaceful resolution of conflict, perpetual violence is inevitable. When the spirit of unison depart from the subconscious make up of man, humanity and tranquility becomes a mirage.
Nigeria is in a parlous condition,because a colossal number of the Citizens domiciled in it have lost there sense of nationhood. Without peace no meaningful social programme can be undertaken, without justice social order is constantly threatened.
Clannishness,as beclouded our sense of nationhood. The consciousness of tribal affiliation as submerged the development of the nation. A Yoruba man will be dissuaded from marrying an Igbo lady because of the tribal difference, endogamy is what is given a pride of place in the Nigerian state. Exogamy is being looked at with disdain. The of spirit, of Yoruba ness, Igboness, hausaness and fulaniness as displaced the Nigerianess in our mental lexicon.
Intelligent and useful discussion is often thwarted by vagueness, our tribal inclination gains precedence over our sense of sound judgment.
According to chinua Achebe, Prejudice against outsiders or strangers is an attitude ones finds everywhere. But no modern state can lend it's support to Prejudice without undermining it progress and civilization.

China is one of the most populous nation in the world and the second largest economy. China operate democratic socialism, it celebrate innovations and bright ideas, unlike the Nigerian state. China with it limited natural endowment, as navigated the technological world and she as placed herself in a comfortable position in the world. Nigeria's natural endowment as become a major cause of our national misfortune, due to the egocentric and tribalistic nature of our political actors.
