On Sunday morning,
The new month's beginning,
It was raining,
Does that signify a new beginning?
Or was the sky crying?
Signifying the mourning?

The mourning that our country,
Is no longer flowing,
With milk and honey,
But has become bloody,
And in all honesty,
We are the source of our worry.

The tribulations of a black June,
That spelled a lot of doom,
No one knew tragedy loom,
Before it boomed,
It changed the Nation's mood,
As in awe we stood.

The crisis in Plateau,
Where we have a dead pool,
The failure of the Eagles,
And the Tanker fire in Lagos too,
Are just few among the evils,
That came with the gone June.

Some were looking for food,
Some coming from school,
Some working with their tools,
When they met their waterloo,
The crisis left many without roof,
And till now many do not know what to do.

However let us be prayerful,
And be hopeful,
That as we ended June,
May all our Nation's trouble,
Also end very soon,
And our Nation's glory return full.

That everything become cool,
Just like the night moon,
Let us live just and true,
And imbibe virtues,
That will make Nigeria good,
Do your part for Nigeria - for me and you.
